TRAVERSE, Michael Francis (1924-2004), Placentia - Passed peacefully away at Placentia Lion's Manor on Wednesday, September 22, 2004, Michael F. Traverse of Placentia, aged 80 years. Predeceased by his parents: Thomas and Veronica; brothers: John, Jack, Joseph, Thomas and sister: Bride. Leaving to mourn his wife of 55 years, Mary Beatrice (nee Power); five children: Edna (Roger), Carl (Rose), Dermot (Bertha), Evelyn (Dave), Christopher (Margaret); two brothers: Frank (Matilda), Ligouri (Mary); sisters: Bertha, Mary, Elizabeth (Lizzie) (George), and Anne; a large number of nieces and nephews; nine grandchildren: Jason, Carl, Tammy, Robert, Stephen, Michelle, David, Grant and Michael and two great-grandchildren: Jordan and Jadd, and a large number of relatives and friends. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia. Visitation 2-4 pm and 7-10 pm Thursday, Sept. 23. Funeral Mass to take place 11 am on Friday, Sept. 24 at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia. Interment to follow in Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast Placentia. Contributions in Mike's memory may be made to the Alzheimers Society or a charity of one's choice.
