BEST, Julia - February 28, 1914 - July 21, 2011. Passed away at the Placentia Health Care Center on July 21, 2011, Julia Best, formerly of Red Island & Southern Harbour, age 97 years. Predeceased by first husband Mike Lambe, and her second husband Malcolm Best. She leaves to mourn her family: Victor Lambe, Ft. McMurray, Michael Norman (Helen), Southern Harbour; brothers: Paddy Carroll (Nellie) & Cyril Carroll (Margaret); sister Elizabeth Spurvey; special friends Margaret Ann McFarlane and Bernie Shcabell, the staff and residents of Beachside Manor, Placentia, also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia, on Friday from 12:00 - 10:00 & Saturday from 9:00 - 1:00, Funeral Mass to take place at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m., Interment to follow in Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast, Placentia.
