It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dorothy Lillian Parsons announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the age of 79 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her four children: Judy, Debbie (Reg), Robert, and Wayne (Diana); grandchildren: Donna, Darryl, Cheryl, Scott, Crystal, Joseph, and Nicholas; great-grandchildren: Erica and Alexander, Jordan, and Scarlett; brothers: John Langer (Glenda), Ed Langer (Joan) and Bob Langer (Linda); sisters: Olive Payne (Tom) and Gladys Fry (Garfield), also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Leo; parents Raymond and Lillian Langer; brother Austin Langer and sister Geraldine Payne. In keeping with Dorothy's wishes cremation has taken place. Family will be receiving friends at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Tuesday September 30 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday October 1 from the Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. officiated by the Very Reverend Baxter Park. Private family interment to follow at Mount Patricia cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made in Dorothy's memory to the Children's Wish Foundation. Dorothy married Leo Joseph Parsons Jr., son of Leo Joseph Parsons and Ellen Maher. (Leo Joseph Parsons Jr. was born in 1931 in Clattice Harbor NW, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland, Canada, died in 2006 and was buried in Mount Patricia Cemetery - Corner Brook, Newfoundland.)
