MARY JEANETTE LANNON HARNER
Jeanette Lannon was a daughter of Fred J. Lannon and Lucy St. George. Born and raised in Placentia, Newfoundland, she graduated from St. Bride's Acadamy, St. John's, Newfoundland and worked for a few years at the U.S. Air Force base in Placentia during World War II. After the war she moved to the U.S. and worked for Kaiser-Frazer Corp. near Ypsilanti, MI. She was introduced to Harp Harner by her cousin, Kay Leslie. They were married a year later.
Jeanette and Harp raised their children in the Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor, MI, area. They lived Belfast, Ireland for two years while Harp was on assignment for Ford Motor Co. During that time the family toured Europe and Great Britain and had many good memories of time spent there. Later, Harp's work took them to Japan, Germany and England, besides his home base in Michigan.
When retired, Jeanette and Harp lived in Laguna Hills, CA, near their children. She died there in 1987.
