Flynn, Thomas. Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Hospital, Thomas Flynn, Dunville, NL. Age 84 years. Predeceased by his parents Thomas & Mary Flynn (Pittman), sisters Regina Ryan (Michael), Catherine Leonard/Pitcher (William Leonard & Lar Pitcher), Marie Kane (John); brothers in Law Malcolm Best (Julia), Patrick Best (Marcella), John Parsons, Gus Whiffen; Sisters in Law Mary Lynch (Dominic), Rhoda Whiffen (Anthony), Esther Whiffen (Felix), Catherine Hutchins (John), Gertie Best; nieces and nephews of the Flynn and Best families. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his devoted family. His wife of 55 years, Martha (Best), daughters Annemarie Hickey (Loyola), and Cathy Brewer (Gary); son Austin; grandchildren Jonathan Hickey (Amanda), Isabella Flynn and her mother Suzanne, great grand-daughter Maddie Hickey, brothers in law Will Best (Annie), Alec Best, Sisters in Law Cecilia Parsons, Violet Whiffen, Josephine Traverse (Jerome), & Sadie Best, special niece Lavina Kane and many nieces and nephews. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home on Tuesday, from 4:00 - 9:00. and Wednesday from 2:00 - 9:00. Funeral Mass to take place on Thursday, March 1 at St. Anne's Church, Dunville at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast. In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Canadian Red Cross, 17 Majors Path, St. John's, A1A 4Z9
