HAYES (nee Burke), Margaret - Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at St. Patrick's Mercy Home, Margaret Hayes, age 92. Predeceased by parents Michael and Mary Burke (nee Hann); husband William (Bill) Hayes; daughter Margaret Mate; brothers Jack (Monica) Burke, Leo Burke; sister Agnes (Kevin) Foley; brothers-in-law Dave Power, Tom Murphy, Bert (Rita) Hayes, Gus (Mary) Hayes and sister-in-law Mary (Basil) Meaney. Leaving to mourn daughter Shirley (Dave) Denine; son Wayne (Josephine) Hayes; son-in-law Walter Mate; grandchildren Keith Denine, Mark Denine (Jaimie), Michelle (Herb) Butt, Melanie (Chris) Healey, Stephen (Colette) Hayes and great-granddaughters Kelsey Hounsell and Carrie Butt; sisters Catherine Power and Lucy Murphy; brother Tom (Susan) Burke; sister-in-law Mercedes Burke and a wide circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends who fondly remember her hospitality over the years. A special thank you to the wonderful staff of St. Patrick's Mercy Home for their care and concern for our mother's welfare over the past five years. At Margaret's request, cremation has taken place. Visitation to take place at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Saturday, June 18, 2016 and Sunday, June 19, 2016 from 2- 4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place from St. Patrick's Church on Monday June 20, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Margaret married William James "Bill" Hayes, son of William Hayes and Elizabeth Miller. (William James "Bill" Hayes was born in 1920 and died on 28 May 2000 in Health Sciences Center - St. John's, Newfoundland.)
