Of Placentia, passed peacefully away of a broken heart at the Placentia Health Center in the presence of his loving family. Predeceased by his wife Christine of 54 years on June 25, 2007; son Jerome, June 1989; his parents, Reginald and Mary Collins; his sisters: Molly, Adalaide, Margaret, Mary, Noella; his brothers: Sandy, Austin (Vera deceased), Eugene and Edward Patrick. Leaving to mourn his loving children: Bunnie, Derek, Brian, Anna Marie, Rossie, Noella, Dale (Donna); grandchildren: Randy (Andrea), Mike (Julie), Heidi (Brad), Nena (Daniel), Melissa (Johnny), Kim (Adam), Stephen, Sam and Emma; great-grandchildren: Glenn, Grace and Olivia, all of whom he adored; his sisters: Alice (Chris deceased), Rose (Pete); brothers: Joe (Pat deceased), Bill (Loretta), Raymond (Tish); sisters-in-law: Theresa, Ann Collins, Monica (Jerry) Manning, Jeanie Cormier, Donnie Shea (Bill deceased), Rita (Jack) Walsh; also a large circle of nieces and nephews; special caregivers at Beachside Manor, and the wonderful and loving staff at Placentia Health Center who cared for Dad on many occasions and made him comfortable in his final hours. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia, Wednesday, September 26, 2007, 2-10 p.m.; Thursday, September 27, 2007, 12-10 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia at 11 a.m. Friday, September 28, 2007, with interment to follow in Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast Placentia. Reginald married Christine Brennan, daughter of Walter Brennan and Bridget, in 1953. (Christine Brennan was born in 1934, died on 25 Jun 2007 in Placentia Health Care Center - Placentia, Newfoundland and was buried in Coombs Memorial Cemetery - Placentia, Newfoundland.)
