It is with great sadness that the family of the late Michael Bedo announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Saturday, December 30th, 2000 at the age of 78 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, 9 sons: William (Cora) in Kippens, Shannon (Diane) in Ship Cove, Christopher in Port au Port, Alexander (Anita) in Stephenville, Arthur (Dorothy) in Felix Cove, Terrence in Lower Cove; Joseph (Vera) in Felix Cove, Brendan (Sandra) in Brampton, Ontario, Francis (Victoria) in Felix Cove; 3 daughters: Norma (Jerry) Doucette in Felix Cove, Rachael (Paul) Hunt in Nova Scotia, Majella (Randy) LaCosta in Piccadilly; 25 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral service will take place Tuesday, January 2nd, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. from Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port au Port West with interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Port au Port East. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell's Funeral Home, Stephenville.

Michael married Mary Julia Felix, daughter of William David Felix and Margaret "Maggie" Ann Duffy. (Mary Julia Felix was born on 2 Oct 1926 in Felix Cove, Newfoundland and Labrador and died on 7 Aug 2007 in St. Clare's Mercy Hospital - St. John's, Newfoundland.)
