It is with great sadness that the family of the late Carrie Viscount announce her passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing on Tuesday, January 16, 2001 at 10:45 a.m. at the age of 96 years. She will be sadly missed by three sons: Reg (Yvonne) Young of Dunville, Placentia Bay, James (Mary) Young of Stephenville, Herbert (Martina) Viscount of Port au Port; two daughters: Gertie Payne of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Mercedes Linton of Grand Island, Nebraska; one brother, Alex LaFitte of England and a large circle of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her first husband, James Young and her second husband, James Viscount; her son, Raymond Young, two daughters Mary Viscount and Mrs. Marie Young (nee Viscount) also brothers, sisters, mother and father. Friends may call at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port au Port West on Thursday. Funeral services will take place on Friday, January 19th at 10:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Mercy Church, Port au Port West with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Port au Port East. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell's Funeral Home, 39 Queen Street, Stephenville.

Caroline married James Francis Viscount, son of Phillip Viscount and Mary. (James Francis Viscount was born on 15 Mar 1899 in Merasheen, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada and died on 25 Sep 1984 in Port au Port, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.)
