BOLAND, Michael Fintan (Mike)
Passed peacefully away at his residence in Witless Bay on December 26, 2002, Michael Fintan Boland, age 71 years. Mike is the son of Leo Patrick Boland and Anita Hynes Boland of Curling, Bay of Islands. He is predeceased by his parents, brother Harold and grandson Sean Power. He leaves to mourn his sisters: Mary (Clem) Lindsey of West Palm Beach, Florida, Mona Galliott and Helen White (Patrick Blackadder) of Cornwall, Ontario and Bride Boland of Vancouver, British Columbia; brother Fred Boland, Kingston, Ontario; sons: Rick, Leo, Tony of St. John's and Gerry of Toronto, Ontario; daughters: Bobbie (Bill Duggan), Torbay, Patricia (Jeff Baker), Toronto, Ontario, Shelley (Steve) Power, Churchill Falls, Maria (Trent MacDonald), St. John's. He also leaves a large circle of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. During the last decade Mike made many friends at Dinn's Personal Care Home especially Debbie and Junior. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, St. John's on Saturday December 28th, 2 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Funeral Service on Saturday, December 28th, at 7:30 p.m. from Caul's Chapel. Michael will be laid to rest with his mother and father at Mount Cecilia Cemetery, Curling-Corner Brook in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to a charity of one's choice.
