JOY FAY JONES
VINITA, Okla. - Joy Fay Jones, 49-year-old Vinita resident, passed away Monday, June 3, 2002 as a result of an automobile accident.
Joy was born April 17, 1953 to Claude and Mary Jane (Straw) Englehardt. She graduated from Big Cabin High School, and worked as a nurse's aide at Eastern State Hospital and Millers Cozy Home.
Joy was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include: one daughter, Amanda Michelle Jones of the home; one son, Charles Lee Jones, Jr. of Chelsea, Okla.; one sister, Anita Myrick of Kemblin, Okla.; one brother, Jeff; and one grandchild, Christopher Marvin Akers.
Funeral services were at 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 10, at the Burckhalter Memorial Chapel. Rev. Will Busch officiated. There was a cremation afterwards and burial will be at a later date in Chelsea Cemetery.
Services were under the direction of the Burckhalter Funeral Home.
