research of L. Cunningham on www.rootsweb.com - Fishing master on the Isles of Shoals in 1651. In 1653 he was named commissioner to end small cases and signed the petition to have the Isles constituted as a township. Lived on the Isles of Shoals, removed to Saco, Maine where his wife was listed in the meeting house seating-list in 1666. They took refuge in Salem, MA during King Philip's War in 1675-1676. Took the oath of alligiance to the Massachusetts Bay Colony in Boston in 1678.
