Dorothy 'Dolly' CILLEY, born 12 Jan 1784 in Andover, Merrimack, NH, died there 19 Aug 1856, was a daughter of Samuel and his 2nd wife Elizabeth (EASTMAN) CILLEY. She married 29 Oct 1802 her 1st husband Nathaniel ASH, born about 1777, died 22 May 1808, buried in the Old North Cemetery, Andover, Merrimack, NH Their children are:
- - -1. Alice ASH, died in Bristol, Grafton, NH, unmarried.
- - -2. Ruth ASH, born 1803, died Sep 1866.
- - -3. Dorothy 'Dolly' ASH, born 10 May 1805, died 30 Aug 1830. She became on 25 Jan 1830 the 2nd wife of Sanders HERBERT. His 1st wife had been his 2nd wife's aunt (i.e., sister of Dorothy 'Dolly' (CILLEY) ASH): Judith CILLEY, born 14 Feb 1800, died 22 Dec 1828. His 3rd wife was his 2nd wife's cousin: Betsey S. CILLEY, born 20 Sep 1804, died 20 Mar 1838, daughter of Joseph and Susan (SPRINGER) CILLEY. His 4th wife Mary FISK was not a member of the CILLEY family.
The book by Eastman does not list Charles ASH as a son of Nathaniel ASH and Dorothy 'Dolly' CILLEY.

(Ruth Cooper Tilton was born in Jun 1801 in Wilmot, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, died on 10 Oct 1873 and was buried in Schoodac Road emetery in Warner, New Hampshire.)
