Feb. 12, 2004 Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2004, at Faith Lutheran Church in Becker for June E. Hunter, age 78, of Becker, who died Thursday, February 12, 2004, at St. Benedict?s Senior Community Center in St. Cloud. Pastor Brad Barr will officiate. Burial of cremated remains will follow at the Becker Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
June was born on January 28, 1926, in Minneapolis to James and June (Gustafson) Hunter. She married Bill Carpenter in February of 1946 in San Francisco, CA. She lived most of her life in San Francisco and has lived in Becker since 1987. June volunteered at the Becker Dining Site and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Becker.
June is survived by her son, Blayne (Kathleen) Carpenter of Henderson, NV; grandchildren, Chahndra and Austin; brothers, Jim Hunter of Maple Lake, and Allan Hunter of Big Lake; sisters, Virginia Culbertson of Hamilton, MT, Frances Vassar of Elk River, Ruth (Roger) Paulson of Glide, OR, Yvonne (Leonard) Duerr of Ogilvie, and Vivian (Larry) Straw of Bigfork, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Michael Hunter; and sister, Irene Carlson.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home in Clearwater.
