  General Notes:

per B. Baumann: Myron was in the NY 2nd Cavalry, Co E NYS - the same unit as his brother Joel. He was married three times but I have no other info on other marriages. [ research of T. Williams states: he m. (2)4 Nov 1893 Orpha Jane (Kenny) Allen; and m.(3)Sarah E Bruilia or Brilyea
Military pension: Company E 2nd NY Cav; he obviously enlisted with brother Joel on the same day and was also discharged the same. Myron was 18 3/12 yrs old - 5'71/4" tall - dark complexion - brown hair and blue eyes - a miner born at Ticonderoga. He married Sept 20 1863 Ticonderoga, Martha Sharp. His living children were Myron Elsworth, Jr Dec 1864 - Martha b. 17 Feb 1867 - Fanny b. 2 May 1869 - Claton (sic) 25 May 1872 - Robert 16 Nov 1875 - Melissa 28 Feb 1877. Muster rolls say Myron was in VA and on duty until Feb 1865. shortly thereafter he was "un-horsed" suffering a back injury and severe leg wound. He was placed in the hospital, moved to Alexandria hospital and was discharged. He was given $8.00 to start, with arrears and $12.00 later. per B. Baumann: Myron may have been in Sterling, MI ( 1876- 1879) and in Sauk Co. Wisc. 1880 - 1884
