per Alta Burns Bean: George was an African American who came up from NYC to work as a chauffeur for some summer people who vacationed in Brant Lake in the summer. This inter-racial marriage was not well accepted by the family or the local community. Nothing further is known of this man; no record of his death or where he is buried. He does not appear to be buried with his wife in Brant Lake Cemetery
