Surgeon, 87
Luis F. Guzman of Denver, a surgeon, died Monday in Aurora. He was 87.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Fairmount Mortuary, 430 S. Quebec St. There will be cremation.
He was born July 10, 1911, in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. On Sept. 10, 1944, he married Dolores Bautista in San Antonio. He graduated from the University of Mexico in Mexico City.
He had a private practice while also serving on staff for St. Anthony and St. Luke's hospitals.
He was a member of the American Medical Association and the Colorado Medical Society. His interests included boating.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Sylvia Straw, Peoria, Ill., and Eleanor Weir, Denver; two sons, Luis "Lou" Jr. and Victor, both of Denver; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
