EAST SCHODACK -- Thomas A. Mocerine , 85, formerly of East Schodack, died Friday, July 15, 2005 at Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Born in Madison, N.J., he had been a resident of the Capital Region for many years. He worked for NY Central Railroad in the warehouse for 19 years, and was warehouse manager for Davis Acoustical Co. in Troy for 21 years, retiring in 1981. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, East Schodack.
Predeceased by his parents, Anthony C. and Louise (Clark) Mocerine and two sisters, Frances Payton and Etta May Stevenson. Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Eloise (Tennyson) Mocerine of North Greenbush; a daughter, Beverly A. Shuhart and her husband, George of East Nassau; a son, Ronald R. Mocerine and his wife Patricia A. of Nassau. Also survived by seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral 11:00 a.m. on Monday from the Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer, N.Y. Friends may call in the funeral home on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, E. Schodack.
The family has requested that those who wish to remember Tom make contributions to Van Rensselaer Manor Activity Dept., 85 Blooming Grove Drive, NY 12180 or E. Schodack Fire Co. 1st Response Team, 3017 Rt. 150, E. Schodack, NY 12063, in his memory.
