He married for second wife Wilma Decker Rich in 1986 but she died in 1987. He then married Cora Burt on 7 April 1988 in Glens Falls. There were no children from either of these two marriages; however Royal did adopt 2 children: Alyce May Robbins born 1936 to Della Robbins and Miles Waters to whom she was not married. the second child was Brenda J. (Ross?) who was a grand daughter of his born to one of his two children - either Muriel or Herbert (per B. Baumann)
per OBIT: Royal had 2 half brothers (Samuel and Burt Barrett) and 3 sisters: Vera B. (Morehouse) - Alvira Viola; Lila B. (Norton) - Lilath and Iva B. (Havron)- Iva Margaret and a half sister named Daisy Barrett Fish who predeceased him.
per news clipping this couple had at the time of their 50th anniversary, 15 grandchildren and 12 great grand children.
Per obituary dated 31 Aug 1994 he died at Saratoga Hospital. Born in Graphite, NY; veteran of US Army and fought in Battle of the Bulge during WWII. From 1947 until his retirement in 1972 he worked for Ciba Geigy in Queensbury, NY
