www.findagrave.com Francis Moody Hoyt (1842 - 1903) < Eliza Meserve Hoyt (1840 - 1912) d/o Francis Moody and Eliza Meserve Hoyt grew up with wealth and position. She married Hovey Slayton, son of Edward Mitchell and Jennie Slayton, the Slaytons were sold wholesale food/produce business and lived just a few doors down from the Hoyts on North Elm St. Unfortunatley a Dunkin Donuts store sits upon their former homestead, and prior to that a gas station. The Hoyt home which became the Slayton home still exists today and is Lambert's Funeral home. Luella was the only child that survived of 3 siblings. This writer is puzzed by the fact that when her father died in 1903 it has Luella listed as Mrs. Hovey Slayton Knowlton, indicating to this writer that she had remarried, Mr. Hovey Slayton died in 1938
Luella married Hovey Edward Slayton. (Hovey Edward Slayton was born in 1877 in Manchester, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, died in 1938 and was buried in Pine Grove Cemetery Manchester, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA.)
