LEE -- Nancy Jean (Chase) Tandy, 68, of Pinkham Road, died Feb. 12, 2003, at her home after a long illness.
Born Oct. 10, 1934, in Grasmere, she was the daughter of Lorraine (Straw) Chase and Arthur A. Chase. She had attended a one room schoolhouse in Gerrish and school in Franklin.
Nancy was a kindergarten teacher at Merri Lee Child Care Center in Lee. She was a member of the Bourgoin-Reardon American Legion Auxiliary Unit 4 in Durham.
Family members include her husband of 49 years, Maurice J. Tandy of Lee; four children, Sharon Smith of Charleston, S.C., Carole Dennis of Lee, Janice Perkins of Barrington and Maurice J. Tandy Jr. of Somersworth; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; her mother, Lorraine Chase of Lee; five sisters, Marilyn King of Limestone, Maine, Beverly Deirs of McPhearson, Kan., Kathleen McAnney of Pittsfield, Deborah Archambeault of Lee and Sheryl Rosa of Newmarket; a brother, Herbert Chase of Midlothian, Va.; many nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. from the Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home, 77 Exeter St., Newmarket. The Rev. Milton Smith will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Lee Hill Cemetery, Lee.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation of NH, 66 Hanover St., Suite 101, Manchester 03101-2230.
