25 Feb 2020 - per L. O'Connor: "Peter Connors not living in Point-au-Mal anymore...I was talking to a person who lives there and knew him pretty well...he says he believes his grandmother was a Judge....apparently she had a sister named Annie..he also said she could be related to the Gaultons..."

Peter Connors
July 28, 1935 - June 28, 2020
It is with the saddest of hearts that we announce the passing of our father Peter Connors on June 28 at the age of 84. Mourning his passing are his daughters Sandra Connors of Point au Mal and Bev (Keith) Lockett of Cold Lake Alberta. He will also be missed by his brother Aloysius of Ottawa and his nephews and nieces, including "The One and Only," - all of whom he loved dearly.
Dad was a quiet and unassuming man with the bluest of eyes. He was adored for his soft spoken manner, his gentleness, and his caring wink and a smile. His demeanour brought comfort to the many people that he touched along the way. Above all, he gave the most sincere bear hugs you have ever experienced. No matter who you were, Dad was always so happy to see you.
Because of illness, Dad needed to move to the Long Term facility in Stephenville Crossing, but his heart remained in Point au Mal. This was where he grew up as a child, married the love of his life, and lived when all of his children were born. We know Dad that your heart will always be there and your love for us will always surround us with every gust of wind off the mountain and every wave that splashes on Point au Mal beach.
When you get to the gates, we know you will be met by our love ones who went before you; especially our Mother (Clara), our sister (Betty), and our brother (Sonny). Rest easy Dad. Though dementia robbed you of your memories, we both have so many great memories of you that cannot be taken. Dad will be cremated, but due to the restrictions of COVID, burial will take place at a later date when his daughters can be together.
