He married at age 24 to Ruhamah Mitchell, the daughter of Rev. Daniel Mitchell and Martha White. He served in the Rev. War and was active in the affairs of Pembroke...a tything man (1783) and active in church affairs (1799). He and Ruhamah had ten children.. he died at the age of 87 yrs and is buried in the Pembroke St Cemetery near the graves of his brother Daniel and his father Deacon James. There is no marker for his wife.
