Hopkins- Sept. 25, at the residence of N. Gillespie, Whitewater, Wis.,
Mr. George Hopkins; The deceased was born in Cabot Co.,Vermont, in the year 1815. He came to Geneva, Wis., in 1836, and soon after was married to Rebecca Tuttle of Penn., who died 15 years ago. He was the father of eight children, four of whom survive him, two boys and two girls. He embraced the Christian religion early in life and united with the Methodist Episcopal Church, continuing a member thereof with little intermission to the day of his death. He was a kind father and faithful friend. He died after patiently and resignedly bearing the suffering that preceded his death.

"I have been trying to find some information on PERRY HOPKINS who was born in WI. 1844/45. He was married to Matilda (Straw) Wilson. They had three children. Charles Wilson born in WI (from Matilda's first marriage) Dallas Hopkins born in Iowa 1872 Bennett Burton Hopkins born in Saline CO. 1874 The only information I have on Perry's father is from a family bible, it lists him as GEORGE CLEMENT HOPKINS born 1823, died 1880. Perry's mother is only listed as Rebecca. I would appreciate any help you can give me, I seem to be at a dead end."
