TROY George Peter Ostwald, formerly of Second Street, died Friday at Hallmark Nursing Home.
Mr. Ostwald was born in Troy and lived in the Capital Region all his life.
He was owner of Economy Fuel Co. and operated the Eastwood Inn at Denault's Corners.
He was the widower of Dorothy L. Bradley Ostwald.
Survivors include two daughters, Katherine Cantanucci of Youngstown, Niagara County, and Rita Cristiano of Watervliet; a son, George P. Ostwald of Aubern-Dale, Fla.; four sisters, Katherine Petruska and Dorothy Dorfner, both of Troy, Bertha Hogan of Latham and Gertrude Debboli of Connecticut; three brothers, Carl Ostwald of Troy, Leo Ostwald of Snyders Lake and Lawrence Ostwald of Saratoga; a stepson, Kenneth Kuentzel of Troy; a stepdaughter, Carol Sheldrick of Troy; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great great-grandson.
Services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the William Leahy Funeral Home Inc., 336 Third St., and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Henry's Church in Averill Park.
Burial will be in St. Henry's Cemetery, Averill Park.
Calling hours will be 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home

George married Dorothy L. Bradley. (Dorothy L. Bradley was born circa 1918 in Green Island, Albany County, New York, died on 18 Dec 1993 in Samaritan Hosp, Troy, New York and was buried in St. Henry's Cemetery in Averill Park, New York.)

George next married Clementine Valente, daughter of Living and Richeffa Termine, circa 1935 in Troy, Rensselaer County, New York. (Clementine Valente was born on 29 Jan 1909 in Italy, died on 1 Dec 1997 and was buried in St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy, New York.)
