Lovejoy, Peter C. Released 11 May 2003 Gazetteer of Lamoille County, Vermont, for 1883-84 Peter C. Lovejoy, born at Westminster, Vt., came to Stowe in 1805, and located upon the farm now occupied by George Robinson. This portion of Stowe then formed a part of Mansfield, which town Mr. Lovejoy first represented in the legislature, and also served as town clerk. He married Miss Jenny Luce, the union being blessed with eleven children, eight of whom are now living, four in this town, as follows : Columbus, Cornelius, Listina (Mrs. Albert Camp), and Philema (Mrs. Leonard Straw). Mr. Lovejoy died January 17, 1894, aged ninety years. Mrs. Lovejoy still survives him at the great age of ninety years.
