Charles Titcomb, b. in Newburyport, 1798, the son of Charles Titcomb. He enlisted in the army in the war of 1812, under the name of Stickney, was wounded; and on the Pension list of 1840, his name appears as "Charles Stickney, aged 42, lives Grafton, Grafton Co., N. H." He m. Lucy, dau. of Moses Straw and r. in Canaan, N. H. His children who bear the name of Stickney, are (1) William Welch. (2) Charles. (3) Sarah, m. Daniel Steele of Thornton. (4) Moses; d. y. (5) Lucinda, m. Eben Bennet; r. in Illinois. (6) Daniel. (7) John; unm. per Stickney Family Index
