Brookings - A bookman's lifetime collection of books has been donated to the south Dakota State Univ...The Windsor Straw collection contains 376 volumes which reveal a remarkable knowledge of fine printing and antiquarian books....the collection was donated by Straw's daughter Anne Straw..."Greenfield Hill" by Timothy Dwight ...pub 1794...one of oldest American published book in any SD library...."ORATION" [Thos Paine - 1799] probably does not exist in any other SD library..part of Straw's books were once included in Wm Powers [Straw's father in law] collection......Straw retired in 1971...named professor emeritus of journalism by the board of regents..died March 1987
