Sept 19 1884 - Pittsford - Miss Amy McCurdy of Adams, while visiting her Uncles in Ind. died Sept 10 of consumption aged 15 years. Her remains brought to Pittsford last Friday and taken from there to Wm Birds of Adams, the place she most of time since a child, where the funeral took place, sermon by Rev. Short of Adams. The reamins take to the Hill Cemetery for interment and laid beside her father and mother. She had lived with her grandfather Isaiah Straw of Adams, who had the misfortune to lose all of his family but two sons, Liberty N. Straw of Hillsdale and Walter B. Straw of Big Rapids and now he is left alone.
