Find A Grave Memorial 103382197 M. Krob, 69, died January 2, 1990, at her son's home in Wichita, Kansas. Her funeral was at 2 PM, January 5, at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Jared and the Rev. Everett Reeves officiating. Burial was in Cherokee Municipal Cemetery directed by Goodwin Funeral Home. She was born June 2, 1920, in Short Springs to Frank and Nancy Sallee Straw. She attended schools in that area. She married Chester Krob on June 2, 1939, in Dacoma. They farmed in that area before moving in 1946 to Manchester where they continued to farm. In 1959 they moved to Cherokee where they owned and operated Krob Service Station and radiator repair shop. He died in September 1979, and she continued to operate the business until she retired in 1982. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Cherokee Business and Professional Women's Club, Rebekah Lodge and Jolly Ones Club. Surviving are three sons, Bob of Windsor, Virginia, Jerry of Wichita and John of Alva; one daughter, Darlene Malecki of Arlington Heights, Illinois; three sisters, Ruby Nutter of Byron and Beulah Brownson and Margie Puthuff of Cherokee; two brothers, Chester Straw of Cherokee and Frank Straw of Crescent City, California; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters. Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Cancer Division, through the funeral home.
