Thomas Patrick Connors
General Notes: per Project 21 hosted by Infonet and transcribed by Alan Whittle in April 1998 the 1921 Census of "Clattis Harbor" shows the following for Thomas (Patrick) O'Connors:Thomas is head of household born April 1873 at Grandy's Point (southeast of Clattice Harbor); age 48 in 1921. His wife is Catherine (A.F.O'Connor, her nephew, claims her name was Catherine Emberly but another genealogy I found on Internet claims her name was Catherine Parsons. A.F. O'Connor claims that Thomas was married before to a woman whom he does not know the name of but that they had a son named Patrick and the wife must have died. (Jim Rogers states this is true and her name was Mrs. Ann Marie Hayes and they did indeed have a son named Patrick.) A.F.O'Connor claims Thomas and Catherine had 3 sons..Thomas, Terrance and a third whose name he could not remember and a daughter named Veronica. The census shows Veronica, Aloysius, Thomas L. and Ann M. I have chosen to use the Census information because I feel it to be more accurate than my father's memory. Thomas married Ann Marie on 11 Feb 1895 in St. Kyran's, Newfoundland. (Ann Marie was born in 1872 in Petite Forte, Newfoundland.) Marriage Notes: Their sponsors were Patrick and Timothy Connors and Selina Hayes (courtesy of Jim Rogers 2/02) Thomas next married Catherine "Kate" Parsons, daughter of James "Jim" Parsons and Ellen Hepditch, on 11 Jan 1911 in St Kyran's, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland. (Catherine "Kate" Parsons was born on 28 Jun 1884 in White Point, Newfoundland and died in Jun 1966 in St. Kyran's, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland.) Marriage Notes: Marriage performed by W. P. Doutney at St. Kyran's with witnesses Ellen Hickey and David Hepditch. |
