Bennett Family Has Reunion
The family of Mrs. Martha Bennett, of Horicon. held its annual reunion Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry C. Bolton, Sr.. and family, in Warrensburg. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Middleton, Sr., and children, Irene. Aaron and Olive, and Mr. and Mrs, Leonard Middleton. Jr., of Silver Bay: Mr. and Mrs. Ray Middleton and Mr. and Mrs. James Bolton, of Hague. Mr. and Mrs. John R. Bennett and daughter. Katherine. Mr. and Mrs. Elwin Bennett and children. Hilda. Ruth, Edna and Barbara, Mr. and Mrs. John Pratt and son. Arthur. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Pratt and children. Lena and John Edward, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Bolton and children. Lake George News MARCH 3, 1949 Mrs. Martha Bennett, eighty-seven, of Brant Lake, died Sunday morning at Clarks Nursing Home after a lingering illness of over two years. The remains were brought to the home of a son, Elwin Bennett, She is survived by nine children, Mrs. Minnie Bolton and Mrs. Walter Mattison, of Warrensburg. Mrs. R. S. DeGraff, of Scotia, James Bennett, of Glens Falls, Mrs. Leonard Middieton, of Silver Bay, Mrs. John Pratt, of Warrensburg, Mrs. Mack Bolton, John and Elwin Bennett, of Brant Lake; twenty-nine grandchildren and forty- five greatgrandchildren. Funeral services were hell at the Wesleyan Methodist Church on Tuesday at 2 p.ni. Rev. H. H. Chapman of Corinth, a former pastor, assisted by Rev. George Jack, local pastor, officiated. The bearers were grandsons. A granddaughter. Rev. Marjean Bennett, sang one of her grandmother's favorite pieces, "The Old Rugged Cross." Burial was in the Brant Lake Cemetery

Martha married Edwin Smith Bennett, son of Royal Zebulon Bennett and Nancy Alvira Duncklee, on 26 Feb 1876. (Edwin Smith Bennett was born on 3 Feb 1851 in Horicon, Warren County, New York, died on 24 Oct 1910 in Horicon, Warren County, New York and was buried in Brant Lake Cemetery in Horicon, New York.)
