per Kingston VR Jonathan m. Judith (lnu)) and had two children: Hannah b. 8 Jan 1774 who m. John Atwood (this information per Margaret Carter via e-mail March 1999. They also had a son named Benjamin Straw per Kingston VR and Hosier's book on Kingston.
Sources on this line from IGI files; Kingston/Sandown VR and e-mail mbrawn@mint.net of Margaret Carter. She has researched to find that Hannah and John Atwood had a daughter Ruth Atwood born 12 Feb 1810 who married Cochran Patten.
The census of 1790 lists Jonathan Straw of Sandown with one son under 16 (Benjamin age 11) and one daughter (Hannah age 6). the census of 1840 of Sandown lists "JUDITH STRAW"..could this be the widow of Jonathan Straw?
Further research shows a Cochran Patten born 21 Aug 1804 in Nottingham West, NH to Cochran Patten and Martha (last name unk).Per Colby web site of Alice Colby Volkert
Jonathan married Judith Colby, daughter of Peter Colby and Mary Straw. (Judith Colby was born on 14 Sep 1756 in Amesbury, Essex County, Massachusetts and died after 1840.)
