  General Notes:

It is with great sadness that the family of the late DON LAKE, of South East Bight announces his passing at his home on Saturday, September 19th, 2020 at the age of 68. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his son, Shamus Lake (Lacey) of South East Bight; daughters, Sherry Lake (Robert Ducey) of Marystown, and Trudy Kenway (Todd) of Baine Harbour; 6 grandchildren, Rylie, Kelyn, Landon, Chloe, Tanner and Kiera; sisters, Elizabeth Murphy of St. John's, Cecilia Whitty of St. John's, Mathilda Whyte (Anthony) of South East Bight, and Regina Brewer (Joseph) of South East Bight; plus a large circle of relatives and friends.
Don is predeceased by his wife Florence Lake; parents, John & Mary Lake; sisters, Theresa Ward (Isadore); brother, William Lake; and brother-in-law, Ray Murphy.
The Lake Family will accept visitors at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, South East Bight. In order to maintain social distancing and to follow the public health advisory of COVID 19, a walk through visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 22nd beginning at 2:00 pm; and Wednesday, September 23rd, all day. A maximum of 20 people at any one time permitted. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, South East Bight on Thursday, September 24th, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Cemetery, South East Bight.

Donald married Florence Whyte, daughter of Patrick Whyte and Mary Agnes Goldsworthy, in 1974. (Florence Whyte was born on 29 Oct 1954 in S. E Bight, Newfoundland, Canada, died on 17 Oct 2016 in Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre - Burin, Newfoundland and was buried in St. Anne's Roman Catholic Cemetery - South East Bight, Newfoundland.)
