although Newfoundland vital records give her POB as "Davidson" it is suspect that it should read "Davis Cove" per J Rogers as follows:
" As for the "Davidson" where Elizabeth was born ..... Elizabeth's father James Rodgers is listed in the"Report of the Newfoundland Church Society" for 1849 and 1850 as living in Borgeo (Burgeo) Placentia Bay. Burgeo Island later renamed Chambers Island is adjacent to Davis Cove, so we suspect that Elizabeth's "Davidson" is actually Davis Cove
