A SUDDEN DEATH. Mrs. Lydia Dore at Smithton Friday Morning.
Mrs. Lydia Dare died at 5 o'clock Friday morning at the home of her son, H. W. Dore, in Smithton, of heart failure. She was in her usual health until within an hour of her death, and the dread messenger came unannounced. She was in her 75th year.
The deceased was born near Dover, N. H., says the Sunbeam, and came with her husband to Iowa in 1855, and in 1866 settled in Cass County, Mo., coming to Smithton six years ago. Her husband preceded her to the better world three years ago in September. - Sedalia Democrat - Sunday, October 12, 1902 pg.8
