The Hartford Day Spring, January 16, 1918 CORA MAY STRAW Mrs. Cora May Straw, daughter of Mrs. Geo. Gearing, was born in Watervliet township, Berrien county, May 25, 1878, and passed from this life at her home in McDonald, Jan. 10, 1918. She is survived by her mother, husband, L. A. Straw, one daughter, Mrs. Luther Straw of Rockford, Mich., one grandson and four brothers, O. M. Gearing of Hartford, Geo. A. Gearing, Grand Rapids, A. N. Gearing of Jackson, and James Gearing of McDonald. Funeral services were held at the McDonald church on Tuesday afternoon at one o'clock, Rev. W. Cas. Edwards preaching the sermon. Interment was made at the Thomas cemetery. Mrs. Straw will be greatly missed by the community in which she lived, for she was always ready with a helping hand wherever there was need. Much suffering has ceased, but a home and many hearts have been saddened. Card Of Thanks Once more the angel of death has visited our home and we wish to thank the many friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted us during the sickness and death of our loved one. L. A.
