Portsmouth Herald | Portsmouth, New Hampshire | Tuesday, July 02, 1968 Victor L D'Amour Funeral services for Victor Louis D'Amour. 48, who died at his home Saturday morning, were held at Buckmmster Chapel yesterday afternoor by the Rev. Raymond Lebel. S J., of the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Born in East Hartford, CT July 15, 1919, he was the son of Mrs Emma ( T u r g e o n ) D"Amour of California, and the late Joseph L D'Amour During World War II Survivors besides his mother, include his widow, Mrs. Helen (Cole) D'Amour, two sons, William D'Amour of K i t t e r y , Maine, and Robert D'Amour, serving with the US. Army; a daughter, Miss D o r o t h y D'Amour of Rye; a stepson, David Straw of Portsmouth; two brothers. Theodore D'Amour and Rene D'Amour, both, of California; two sisters, Mrs Henry Alay and Mrs. George Yocham, both of California, and several nieces and nephews. Burial was in the family lot in York, Maine, Cemetery.

Mrs Helen A. D'Amour, 62, of 35 Winchester Street, formerly of York, died yesterday at York Hospital after a short illness. She was he widow of Victor L. D'Amour who died in 1968, She was born in Lebanon, NH January 15, 1912, the daughter of Arthur P. and Lizzie (Philbrick) Cole. she was employed as a clerk in the Electrical Department of the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, retiring in August of 1973. survivors include one son David Straw of Portsmouth; one brother Ernest Cole and three sisters: Edna Shepard, Esther Cutts and Marjorie Wahl......................
