Best Dad, Sweetheart and Friend, Blaine Packard Straw, died in an auto accident on December 2, 1994.
Born February 23, 1945 in Payson, Utah to Charles E. and Coe Packard Straw. Graduated from Highland High School.
Attended Snow College and served an LDS Mission in England. Married Diane Cherrington, August 14, 1969 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. High Priest, Youth Coach, Scout Leader, avid boater, and pilot. Always willing to help others with a smile. Owner of Utah Insulation. Blaine loved life, worked hard and enjoyed his family, who have many special memories of fun times together.
Survived by his wife, daughter, Allison (Todd) Olson, and grandson, Dylan; sons, Jason, Travis (serving an LDS Mission in Tijuana, Mexico), Aaron, Steven; brother, Charles and sister, Carol (John) Lloyd, many brothers and sisters-in-law.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 6, 1994 at 12 noon in the Olympus 3rd Ward, 4100 South Camille Drive (2510 East). Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10:45 a.m.-11:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
