bullet  General Notes:

Matilda and William's brother John Fairfield Straw never married. The mistake made that he married unknown Elizabeth is based on the 1895 Iowa State census where William Jackson Straw is listed as John. William was sometime called Jack or Jackson. The census taker took Jack as John. William is my great great grandfather. John Fairfield Straw lived for over 20 years with his brother William Jackson Straw and family. William and his wife Elizabeth Jane Kettner-Straw and John are all buried in the Friendship Church Cemetery at West Fork, Washington County, Arkansas. (research of Ehistory2@aol.com - Jan 2008)
