Dad was always very understanding and out going , he had lots of patients with us kids. Even when he was made at us he would still have a grin on his face.
When I was seven years old dad was working at Burn yak ( saw mill) in Osburn, Idaho. I had to have my tonsils out and he got off from work on his lunch hour and he came to see me in the hospital and he had a bandage around his arm where he had stuck a nail in it at work, but he always found time for us kids.
Dad was the kind of guy that would give you the shirt off his back . He always helped other people. He could never tell anybody no.

Earl married Laura Angeline Straw, daughter of John Lloyd Straw and Helen Margaret McCraney, on 24 Aug 1958 in Superior , Montana. (Laura Angeline Straw was born on 22 Nov 1941 in Rapid City, South Dakota, died on 7 Mar 2008 in St. Maries, Idaho and was buried in Shoshone Memorial Gardens, Pinehurst, Idaho.)
