SHAW, born May 26, 1867, entered in the employ of Miles, McMahon & Co. at the age of twenty-one, where he worked for seven years and then went into busiess for himself in 1895. He purchased a mill and timberlands in Sterling in 1902.Then in 1905 he purchased the water powermill at the Forks and more lands tributary to it. He also purchased a general store in Moscow in 1916, which he sold after a few years' operation.
