Contest in Straw Suit Decided in County Court Today
Mrs. Josephine Rickey, California woman, was awarded decision by the county judge in her suit to have nullified the will of the late Mrs. Elizabeth Straw of Madison yesterday.
Mrs. Rickey was contesting the will on the grounds that at the time the will was made out Mrs. .Straw who had adopted the Rickey woman. when she was but a mere child, was under undue and improper influence at the time of the writing. In December, 1918, Mrs. Straw legally
adopted the plaintiff, but her will was unaltered at that time. Considerable of the estate of the deceased was left to a Wisconsin sanitarium by stipulations of the will which also benefited a number of relatives. As the adopted daughter of Mrs. Straw, the plaintiff argued sole heirship to the estate. Mrs. Rickey petitioned for probation of the will today.
