General Notes:
Leo Pius was born in Clattice Harbor and baptized by Rev. A. Fyme. His godparents were **Leo Parsons and Kate Parsons. His mother Margaret Rawlins/Rowlands was married at first to Patrick Cody and they had three daughters, Mary, Josephine and Ellen. After his death she married a man named James Pittman and they may have had a son named Jimmy. After the death of Mr Pittman "Maggie" married Timothy O'Connor [Connors], a widower with 3 sons, and they then had another son who was the above Leo Pius. According to Maggie's grandaughter, Jean Bruce Hebert, Pius married a woman named Mary but they never had children. She said they lived in Stephenville, NFLD and she thought that that is where he died. A.F. O'Connor claims his brother died of leukemia but it has never been substantiated - Mary Moore O'Connor kept a Christmas card from him that came to them sometime in the 1940s but he only signed his name and did not write anything and the envelope is lost or destroyed.

190224 - E-mail from L. O'Connor [son of Pius's half brother Vincent] Pius stayed at our house in a little basement apartment in our home on 57 St. Georges' Avenue, Stephenville, NL. He met a lady by the name of Mary Bennett late in life (1957) and eventually moved in with her which at the time my father wasn't too happy about. They were never married but lived common-law and never had any children. I never knew he had leukemia but I do know he actually died as the result of a heart attack. My father had to take care of the medical expenses and burial expense as his common-law couldn't afford to bury him. He was buried in ST. STEPHEN'S CEMETERY STEPHENVILLE
Leo had a relationship with Mary Bennett. (Mary Bennett was born afte 1913.)
