Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thurs., Dec. 16, for Delmer L. Reverts, 74, Madison, who died Dec. 13, 2004, at Madison Community Hospital. The Rev. Steve Vetter will officiate in West Center Street Baptist church at Madison, and burial will be at 3 p.m. in Pleasant View Cemetery, Little Rock, Iowa.
Organist will be Marli Wiese and soloist will be Patsy Clarke.
Visitation is Wednesday at the Randall Funeral Home in Madison.
Reverts was born April 1, 1930, at Rock Rapids, Iowa, to William and Tena (Buss) Reverts. He grew up and attended school in Iowa. He worked in the trucking industry as owner of Reverts Trucking and later for Midwest Coast and Transfer, Dakota Transfer, Apple Lines Inc. and B&G Trucking as both an owner-operator and driver. He was married to Delores Kaulthoff and to Jacqulyn Newman Straw. He married Janinne Johnson on June 17, 1972, at Luverne, Minn.
Survivors include his wife, Janinne of Madison; three sons, Darwin of Jasper, Minn., William of Madison, and Daryl (Kim) of Humboldt; two daughters, Jolene Crane of Rock Rapids, and Christina (Troy) Olson of Chester; four grandchildren; and a sister, Charnell (Edward) Loetcher of Sibley, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Kelvin and Vernon; and a son, Delvin.
