Kenneth Straw was born to Pete and Eliza (Weibe) Straw on February 17, 1929, in Alva, and passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2014, in Enid.
Kenneth grew up in Alva and Ringwood. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He married Betty Hyatt, and they made their home in Enid. He helped build the Canton Lake dam. He worked as a truck driver for Farmland for 33 years. After Betty's death in 1977, he married Doris Litson in 1978, and she died in 2008. Kenneth enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by two wives, son Steve, granddaughter Melissa Hankoff, brother Gilmer, four sisters, Pearl, Ruth, Leona, and Bernice, and daughter-in-law Vickie Straw.
Kenneth is survived by his children: Cynthia and Steve Vendetti of Enid, Carlis Straw of Protection, Kansas, Janet Latham and Melissa Kay Hankoff (Mike), all of Sacramento, California; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brother Dale Straw of Wichita, Kansas; and sisters Nellie Kline of Wichita, and Betty French of Alex City, Alabama; step-children, Sherry Litson and Harold T. Thompson.
The funeral service for Kenneth Straw, age 85, will be at 2:00 PM Friday, November 14, 2014, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Nickalie married Doris L. Lynch, daughter of Harold Wilson Lynch and Jessie Pearl Turner, on 4 May 1978 in Enid, Garfield County, Oklahoma. (Doris L. Lynch was born on 18 Apr 1932 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, died on 29 May 2008 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and was buried in Memorial Park Cemetery Enid, Garfield County, Oklahoma, USA.)
