Lois actually married a Stephen GOULD (per Burnham Family Bible) June 1816. Stephen was s/o Stephen b 1756 and Mary Johnson of Amherst, MA. Lois named her son John Sargent Gould perhaps for her brother John Sargent Straw. Stephen Gould resided Merrimac and New Boston, NH
per Burnham family bible: DOB DOD (ae 76y 10m at time of death)
In most of the records she is called Lois STRAW rather than Simonds/Symonds

"1850 I found Lois Gould (Straw) living with her daughter Harriet Gould Dunbar and children in Lyndeborough, Hillsborough County, NH

In Greenfield's Meeting House Cemetery I found the following:
Down the hill about 30 feet (from the graves of her father in law and mother in law) I found the following graves. Louis wife of Stephen Gould, died June 24, 1871 AE 75. Erected by her children. Notice the spelling "Louis". In all other records I have found it spelled "Lois". (This is my 2nd Great Grandmother). Just to the left of her grave is a stone which reads: Rachel Straw, wife of Sargent Straw, died July 28, 1808 , age 36 years."
