Margaret Ruth Priestley
Margaret Ruth Priestley, a resident of Billings, passed away April 14th at the age of 84 due to the complications of a stroke. Margaret was born August 30, 1920, to Orrel and Nellie Fay (Smith) Straw. She married Cloyde A. Priestley in 1939. To this marriage were born 3 children: Linda, Douglas, and Vicky. Margaret worked for many years at Willis Sales Company. She volunteered at Alberta Bair since 1987 when the theater opened helping found the volunteer program. She is one of 3 people to be awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award having over 3,000 hours in service.
Margaret will be missed by her daughter, Linda Robinson of Fishtail, Montana, Douglas Priestley of Springfield, Vermont, and Vicky Priestley of Spokane, Washington. She also has 7 grandchildren: Alissa, Heather, Matthew, Todd, Lisa, Benjamin, and Joshua; and 3 great-grandchildren: Destiny, Eve, and Derek. Other family members include: June (David) Wittman, Jean Lackman, James (Helen) Straw, Wilbur (Yula) Straw, and Winifred Lehner.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters: Sara Jacobs, Dorothy Plath, Helen Clark, Jeanette Richardson, and 1 brother, Paul Straw.
