Held several offices and was Assistant Judge of Caledonia Co Court; member of the Constitutional Conventions 1843 and 1850.
He came to Ryegate, VT in 1831 - Info. from book History of Ryegate, VT., page 351 & 455.
In 1880 he is living with his daughter Mary and her husband William Gilchrist in Barnet, Caledonia, VT
